Damn you, Blogger!

Okay, so I just lost the entirety of my post on the Oilers' 4-1 loss at the hands of Minnesota to a little piece of online heaven we like to call "blogger.com," so here's the abridged, holy-shit-I-have-to-get-to-work version:

No flow to game. OIlers came out flat, with passing centres of brains surgically removed. Got what they deserved. Why did that guy in the next row keep chanting "Let's go Vegreville" well into the third period? Nobody was laughing. An actual hooking motion should be a—if not the only—requisite for a hooking penalty; if not, they should make up a new penalty called "body-tapping." Jesus Christ, Conklin (depicted here, sucking) is terrible. Way to follow that winger all the way out of your net while ignoring the pass, you jackass. Dear sir: please stop playing hockey. Sincerely, everyone.

Mick McGeough strikes again, quickly becoming the Oilers most bitter rival.

Anyone who thinks Conklin will ever be a number 1 goalie, please take a second look at the Gaborik goal. First shooter draws him completely out of position, passes to the Gab for a too-easy goal, sealing our doom. Conklin's best saves have been off of his atrocious rebounds, especially off of his glove side. I feel bad for him, he seems like a nice guy and he's a good goalie, but he's just not a NHL goalie. I have a crazy idea: start Markannen next game.

Anyway, I'll be flying home to Toronto today (hopefully catching the Juniors on those nifty Satellite TVs on Westjet) back to my bleak job. Edmonton's been fun, lots of pals, the Black Dog, turkey, nog, new puckhat: I give it 9 Michael Phair's out of 10 City Ford spokeswomans.

Dammit, Conky, if you get out now, you can take a pretty decent 23-17-4 lifetime record with you into the record books. No one need be any the wiser about your actual quality.

I've lost posts to damn blogger as well. I find it's best to type them up in WORD or something and then transfer them over. If blogger eats it, you have it still to post again
