Technical difficulties

Please forgive the sudden shittiness of this site; I was testing out some AdSense configurations and apparently when I deleted google's ad code, it took something very important with it as well. Anyone with HTML knowledge have an idea what happened? Looks like everything has become centred instead of left justified. Fuck.

Errr...

Without looking at your template, I can't tell you what you might have done or what might be missing--but it looks like you accidentally nuked part of the code for your left sidebar. A quick-and-dirty fix might be accomplished by setting up a dummy blog with the same base template, grabbing the missing bits of code out of that, and then proceeding as usual.

If that made no sense, I apologize--I've been awake for the past 26 hours and am a little punchy.

You've got an extra [/div> tag. I dunno the process for updating blogger code, but about 100 lines down you have:

[!-- Main Column -->
[div id="mainClm">

[/div>

...and you need to delete that last tag to get things back to the proper format.

(I had to replace left angle bracket w/ left square bracket so this could be published as a comment)

Punch it in the tits!

I agree with paul.

I just pulled the cached version of the site off google and compared it to the current and you need to get rid of the (/div) tag after (div id="mainClm").

That should do it.

Post a reply that you would be interested in help and I can give more info... I can't just post my email you know, spammers and whatnot.

Yep, that did it. Punched it right in the tits and everything worked out fine. Thanks for the help, all!

One other thing is that this template has issues when view in mozilla browsers. The left nav ends up at the bottom.

And I'll trade some free wordpress consulting for a bed to sleep in on Saturday.

This template also has problems in Safari. Nav bar ends up at the bottom right. But it has been like that all year, and I'm used to it now. It's nothing compared to how bad mc79hockey looks in Safari.

I assume you mean how good mc79hockey looks in Safari?

My site is a shitshow-I know.

Yeah, and God forbid Grabia should go buy himself a real computer instead of trying to view webpages on a wind-up toy.

Are you talking shit about my Mac, Cosh? My G4 iBook is a glorious work of wonder. Don't get mad at me because you couldn't figure out that it was Mark Recchi that Staios dumped in overtime, not Cory Stillman.

Gino Reda just said the Cory Stillman guaranteed a Canes victory in Game Six. Has anyone else seen anything on it?

I missed that too, but I was too lazy to change it.

It isn't Safari being incompatible, it's just that in Safari the fact that the layout isn't a fixed width doesn't mesh well with the default font size on smaller screens. Just make the font size smaller and it's fixed.

That being said, I think you guys need to send a message out to the nerds to get you a nice looking customized template. These canned blogger ones are pretty ugly.
