The morning after

Frustrating. The Oil are clinging to first in the Northwest by the very quick of their nails. Since the Oilers and the Wild haven't played all season (tomorrow being the first matchup), the tiebreaker comes down to goal differential, by which the Oilers have the edge with one measly goal. Making matters worse, Calgary's sniffing around first, making their fans feel good about themselves.

Don't even get me started. I hope those f**kers lose six straight on the road. And to think I felt sorry for their fans at the beginning of the year. BAH!

I will say the Oilers have had some real gut checks... the Flames have had none. Put them back out on the road lets see what happens. Adversity is a good thing I just hope the Oilers can ride through the next 2 weeks.
Sad thing is we are playing hockey not baseball so I will stick to the standings we are 3rd and they are 8th...

The Flames and the Preds both have these dealies they call defensemen, at least 4 each to my eye. They seem to be able to have some kind of positive effect on the game when the puck thing is in our part of the ballpark.

Thingy.

Oil web site has a couple interesting pieces of news today (at least it was news to me):
- Mikhnov will be in the lineup tonight (Yes!)
- Hemsky says he will be back either Friday, or Tuesday (phew...other rumours indicated not before Christmas)

Good news all round. Says here 3-2 Oil -- Pisani, Traktor, & Sykora. GOILERS!

I love how Horc is number 01 here.

I also loved that anon comment about the worst post ever after the Dallas game. Actually I'm a little pissed I haven't been able to hold that title for at least a day. Now the bar is already set pretty low, so it'll be hard to do.

Horc is the man.

As for the crappiest post ever, the trick is to be really drunk, writing about a game you didn't see. Guaranteed boos from the peanut gallery...
