The most ridiculous thing Ray Ferraro has ever seen

Here it is, in all of its glory. The most incredible Oilers goal in recent memory, scored by Ales Hemsky, of course. Too bad we blew the game. Goddamn it, Bergeron!

We should name this. Like The Goal from last season, this needs a label.

Does this beat the Pronger buzzer beater? haha.

Hooo Mercy! I hadn't even looked up the game score yet before I saw this clip. I'm still laughing. As the wee bairns say, I'm LOL.

I think I might make that Ferarro call my new start-up sound on the ole compy.

Honest to God, I can't stop watching this thing. It's killing me -- absolutely killing me.

I'm adding: "That does not belong in the National Hockey League" to my daily lexicon.

What a beauty.

And leave it to Mac-T to put the icing on the cake with this one:

"At least we turned a disaster into a debacle"

What an enjoyable set of events.

Oh man, on about the 15th viewing I just noticed that Steffie also fell on his ass into the end boards after missing the net.

I can't imagine how a hockey highlight could ever provide me with more entertainment value than this one. Forget the sound startup, I'm finding a way to make this video fire up everytime I turn on my computer.

Hemsky is a god.

Gentlemen, this fucking rules. This is the kind of thing you miss just by hitting "update" on the scores on Yahoo NHL. God, I wish I didn't have to work in the evenings.

As Stef was a foot from the net I changed the channel to dull the pain of an empty netter. I come back and we're in OVERTIME!?

What a play to have missed, me and my weak stomach.

I was at the game, about 40 feet from Stefan's gaff... the ice was the worst I've ever seen at Rexall. there were pools of water all over that end, and when it finally froze halfway thru the 3rd, it was bumpy all over. You can see the puck jump -- obviously, though, he's got to pump it in from 10-15 feet out, not dangle a deke on the doorstep.

Rod's call (see the oiler site clip) was amazing. from an almost depressive mood, barely calling the certain empty net goal, to an eruption when Ales (aka 'Ales in Wonderland') puts it in! Morley's genuine giggle as Stefan misses is much appreciated as well!

Anyway, I've been watching the Oilers since the WHA days and that is perhaps the most amazing single play I've ever seen. We had gotten up to leave when Stefan was moving in, as had half the building. The fan reaction to Hemsky's goal was hysterical in itself -- people trying to cheer and scream, but it was all mingled with laughter!

Chris! and Mike, I wish this happened 2 weeks ago, when both of you were in town. This way, you get to experience the crazy atmosphere of the UnderDog when Hemsky scored.

Even the hipsters were cheering and randomly hugging people. It's like game 6 in the first play-off round again. I think I got this sudden urge to go stab some people

I was there too! (Who wants to touch me?!) An entire crowd laughing, screaming, crying and shitting their pants in disbelief is truly a moment to savor.

Sacamano you can put it in your registry to execute whatever player you have and run that video when you computer starts up, I'll help you if you want haha.

What an amazing night and horrible night to be at Rexall. Blow a 4-1 lead, but tie it up with the funniest and best moment all night. Thank Stefan, great belated xmas gift. The crowd went nuts, and I loved it. If only they could have won it OT or the blasted shootout.

The Stefan screwup was so funny it inspired me to wonder what the heck happened!

So I posted this:
