Oilers finally catch a break

Unfortunately, that break could be Ethan Moreau's ankle:

NO WORD ON MOREAU: The X-rays on Ethan Moreau's ankle were inconclusive. He left the Saddledome on crutches, unable to put any weight on his ankle, after being hit by a Adrian Aucoin shot. They won't know if it's broken until they get a better picture.
Ha ha! Awesome.

Oh I hope Moreau is ok. It would be super shitty to be out with a broken ankle after what he went thru last season with the shoulder injury. :(

You dink, Chris!.

When reading just the headline, I was thinking "Fantastic, Moreau didn't break his ankle".

Then when I read the first line of your text I was thinking "Oh, fuck, his ankle is broken."

Then when I read the paragraph I realized that we still don't know a fucking thing, and my elation to despair transition was all for nothing.

What an emotional roller coaster sports journalism can be, huh?

I hate to be a pessimist, but I'm not sure we're going to like the results of Moreau's second x-ray. Dude sounds pretty laid out in the wake of taking that slapshot "off the laces", as Rod called in on Saturday.

Fantastic. Absolutely Fantastic. The Oilers tough minutes line is already down Pisani. If we remove Moreau too, than that leaves us.... uh.... Horcoff? It's going to be a long year for our boy Shawn if both of those guys are gone. And, by extension, for the Oilers team as a whole.

'Tis merely a "severe bone bruise," according to the Sun today. Still sounds like he'll be out for a bit, doesn't it?
