Thanks for the memories, buddy

Nice ovation for Smytty tonight. True to his word, he broke down into a blubbering mess after a prolonged applause from the hometown crowd.

He probably misses West Edmonton Mall as much as I do.

We love Smytty. Too bad the idiot boo birds were out tonight. He didn't deserve it.

Blood, Sweat and tears... What else can you say?

We miss your mug!

I guess the boos are to be expected anytime a big player leaves the team under less-than-great circumstances.

I just wish we could distinguish between Comrie/Pronger and Smyth booage.

Man, you try to explain to people here in Ontario that there's a mall where there's a Go-Kart track and a casino and a shooting range ... and well, before they can even start wagging their fingers in disapproval you've already broken out in tears of pure homesickness.

I was hoping he'd get the EN to seal it.

I thought you were being sarcastic about his missing the Mall, but that sounds like a great one!

Wow, Grebesh-cough was brutal, not even AHL caliber.

What was with the booing of Smitty from all the Lowetomatons last night? All he ever did was play his heart out for their team every game for 12 years...

Which isn't at all right Mike?

You talking about WEM? I miss that thing right now, thinking of that beautiful Waterpark.

I dont see how anyone could believe that face is fake. He looks like someone just shot his dog, on the ice, right there in front of him.

If he could conjur up that sort of emotion on a whim he could be making a lot more money in hollywood..
