The magic of relegation...

Ever scream so loud that you detach your retinas?

Apparently the most exciting play in the world is a last-minute goal to avoid relegation. This guy puts the Oilers' Rod Phillips to shame, so much so that his colourman eventually tells him to shut up (something I can't picture see Morley Scott doing).

Can you believe it?

WOW! My favorite part is toward the end of the clip when he says: "I'm speechless. I'm absolutely speechless."

Brilliant!

GOILERS!

That's what I like about the UK announcers -- the are so impartial.

There might be something too this relegation thing -- at least then Oilers fans would still have something to look forward to after the first 20 games of the season.

Shit. We got McGeough tonight in TB.

Pierre McGuire is a Leeds fan?

Apparently, this is part of a Skysports thing where they get actual fans of the team to call the game. Cool idea, I think.

Ah yes, the Sky Fanzone. The most irritating of the myriad red button options.

"SORRY TO SPIT ON YA MATE!"

That rules.

I miss the red button. It was fantastic during the cricket world cup.

There is no excuse for us not to have a red button during the Brier so that we can pick which game we want to watch.

Soccer is sure exciting....I guess.

The red button. I'm confused. Please splain.

To be fair, that was only the third goal Leeds scored all year.

I'm playing a very fun game for the rest of this season, called "Pray to God we didn't give Steven Stamkos to Brian Burke" and so far, so good!

The red button is a service on your remote if you have digital cable or satellite. It allows you to access a series of interactive options, ranging from shrieking Leeds fans to betting on who will score the next goal.
On the BBC you also have the option of switching the audio to the radio broadcast, or if you're so inclined, just the crowd noise. The latter has proved to be very popular.

You mean they give you the option to ignore their own announcers? Oh, what a glorious invention!!! Can I get me one of those, ASAP? I dream of only having crowd noise.

That clip captures a very rare moment in EPL history.

Yes, Mark Viduka actually did something useful.
