Edmonton Vs. Chicago Gameday: The Surge Continues

I've been waiting for months for someone to post this clip on youtube. Fun Fact: I lost my virginity on Wye Road to this song.

Don't forget that today's very important game with all sorts of Brian Burke Push implications starts at 1:00 PM MTN, folks!

Actually, the lyrics of this song work perfectly on the theme of losing one's virginity.

Listen for yourself. It's creepy!

I'd say I'll never hear it again quite the same way, but I'll never hear it again, period. You're not wrong about the lyrics, though.

I find the whole association with virginity and nearly this entire post creepy actually...very very creepy.

Rod just called the Chicago Blackhawks the Buffalo Sabres. Morley didn't even bother to correct him.

Great game, no?

Nilsson Schmilsson and Gagner have never looked better. Chicago's flabby coverage has helped, of course.

I've only seen one game where Nilsson has been better. 2nd game he got recalled I believe, he got an assist and was playing with a hell of a lot of grit; even hunched his shoulders down and went hard along the boards to get the puck out once.

Also it's almost making me cry that I can't see this game after all the crapfests I endured this season.

2 points each for the kids Cogliano, Gagner and Nilsson.

A small spoonful taste of hope for the next two years...

And the weirdest part is that Mike Krushelnyski was actually there cheering you on at the time.

Yes, it was a sordid affair.

The bullhorns kind of threw me off.

I really need to buy this movie.

I think the Oilers store has the DVD.

Required viewing for anyone who wants to see a drunk Gretzky talking about "wanting the puck."

Two best moments of that video:

1. Watching Mark Messier break his stick over a guy's back with a crosscheck, then argue it shouldn't be a penalty because his stick broke.

2. The synching of the electric piano bit with punching a Flame: rhythmic!

Oh boys on the bus is a classic.
Best parts:
1) Slather nonchalantly explaing the fact that he got MacT from jail.
2) Lowe and Gretzky's slow motion model walk through NYC.

Is it still technically sex if it's with bullhorns?

that song and at least a few others, I hope!

Just to let you TO boys know what you are missing: it's currently +11 in Edmonton. Enjoy that snow, suckas!

I'm sure there's a Reijo Routsalainen or Dave Hunter joke in there somewhere....

When a stick was a STICK, not like those paper mache things Stoll uses today.
