Not having Ovechkin in the playoffs makes hockey sad

Joffrey Lupul scores the series-winning goal in Game 7 OT? Double You Tee Eff. Well at least ex-Oilers Patrick Thoresen and Jason Smith get to move on to the next round, although the Flyers also have that that little snot-nosed punk Steve Downie. But then again Washington has Matt Cooke... Man, it's so hard to keep track of all of these different bits of hate.

Tough way to lose: on a total garnage call by Don "donuts" Koharski (when a player tumbles upward after having a stick touch his skate it should no longer be a penalty in Game 7 OT, especially when you haven't called anything for two periods), along with what looked like a missed offside, and worst of all, an appalling missed goalie interference call that lead to Philly's second goal. Condolences, Caps fans.

Don't forget about Derian Hatcher. Just because it's old hate doesn't mean it isn't right.

Watching the Falmes game in Calgary tonight. After the game, a Falmes fan sitting at the bar took off his jersey and neatly folded it up. God, I love his city.

I resent "garnage."

The term itself (as minted on BoA) or the call?

condolences, indeed.

Where's Derian Hatcher when you need him?

I knew all along that
that Lupul kid was a keeper.
He just needed some decent coaching.

If we'd had Joffrey Lupul this year, we'd have made the playoffs. Book it. BIG GOALS like that are what good teams are made of.

if we would have had lupul this year...he would have underperformed along with his buddies stoll and torres. the off season would hve involved figuring which 2 of 3 we should trade.

That's Lupul's first goal in this series. On a rebound. One-shot sniper indeed.

The most unfortunate part of this post is that until the next update, every time I check this site I have to look at a picture of Joffrey Lupul celebrating. What's the opposite of the gift that keeps on giving?

What's the opposite of the gift that keeps on giving?

The pain that keeps on hurting?

Anyone seen the new GM of the 'Nucks? I saw his one man show, Brian Burke: Raw, at Chuckles sometime. It was better than the real thing. And the songs were much more dynamic than his inspirations'. His version of Naslund Go, while in direct homage to Burkes' earlier Naslund Stay, is nevertheless a direct contradiction of song titles.

A puck/bullet to the junk, remember?

I agree that photo sucks.
How about Lupul's goal off his shin last night against the Habs? Some superstar.

Looks like Lups has officially become a no-shot sniper. Eat that, Edmonton.

If you watch the video carefully, Lupul got a fleck of Thoreson-ball in the eye. He's been scoring accidently a lot since, and smiling. Smiling a lot.

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I was happy to see the Caps snuff it. Ovechkin is great, Semin too, but that's about it. They forgot to show up for the middle games of the series, Ovie included, and paid the price in the end.
