Oilers draft a kid born after Ghostbusters 2 came out

The Oilers have picked up Jordan Eberle, a gap-toothed pip-squeek that scored 42 goals last year in the WHL. By drafting yet another Centre, the Oilers are now ever more clogged up in that position (making Ryan O'Marra, what, they're 15th option?), although surely some of these guys can be converted to wing, or just as likely, traded (Stoll, Schremp, Pouliot?). Still, Oilers fans have to be happy that the Oil didn't go all Niinimaki with their only decent pick in the draft. It doesn't hurt that the Oilers are his favourite team, either.

Um, if you had watched the clip you posted, you'd see he's a RW.

I love the pick, called it on LT's site actually. The thing I'm most excited about is that we appeared to have screwed over Lou in the process. His trading down looks to have lost him the player he really wanted.

weird because he's noted as a centre everywhere but central scouting talks about him playing the wing on TSN, just below where he is noted as a centre

in other news, I am old and confused

C/RW it is!

How could Lou not think the Oilers were picking him at their spot? Every friggin' mock drafting prognosticator west of the Atlantic had the Oilers taking him.

Like the pick A LOT btw.
